Our Story
The company was founded in 1984 by Eric Dowe, a highly skilled professional with deep roots in the construction sector. Before starting the business, Eric built his expertise through roles at Harris and Edgar in Croydon and Grangemouth, followed by a successful tenure as Sales Manager for Hilti in the South East. With a solid understanding of the production and fabrication of steel products, and a sharp eye for industry needs, Eric identified a growing demand for high-quality, reliable steel fabrication services — and set out to meet it.
Expansion
From its humble beginnings in a small factory on Charlwoods Road, the company quickly earned a reputation for precision, reliability, and customer service. Under Eric’s leadership, the business grew rapidly, securing work for the supply of fabricated steel across a wide spectrum of construction projects. As operations expanded, the company relocated to its current, larger premises and steadily increased its fabrication capacity and workforce — which soon included Eric’s four sons.
Embracing modernisation
Following Eric’s untimely passing in 1995, his sons took the helm, continuing to uphold the values he instilled: craftsmanship, integrity, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Under their guidance, the company broadened its capabilities, investing in modern fabrication equipment and embracing new technologies to meet the increasingly complex demands of the construction industry.

Today, the company remains, proudly, a family-run business, with the third generation of the Dowe family now actively involved.
